The presentation lectern is a company's avatar. The piece should first serve the most basic functions of a lectern–a place to position microphones, notes, broad color-coded "cheat sheets" in some cases, should accommodate a refreshment area on shelving and is in some cases, literally bulletproof. The lectern is also a visual metaphor for the company. It should embody the attributes the company has garnered in the public eye and should also embody the attributes the company wishes to attain. The Philip Morris V1 lectern was used by Chairman Geoff Bible.
